Internal Audit Assistant -Head Office (Dagupan)

JOB SUMMARY

Primarily responsible in ensuring independent, objective assurance and consulting function established through a team/unit in order to examine, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal control, risk management and governance system and processes of the organization.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assists in the conduct of regular audit of all branches and departments to determine compliance with bank’s policies, procedures and internal control.
  2. Conducts spot audit of branches at unannounced interval of time.
  3. Assists in the conduct of special /case audits on any uncovered/reported anomaly.
  4. Conducts annual physical inventory of all loans and collateral, accountable/ property and equipment and acquired budget of the Bank.
  5. Monitors/verifies movements of dormant accounts regularly.
  6. Reconciles/proves balance of GL and SL account regularly.
  7. Assists in the audit of accountabilities of resigned employees.
  8. Acts as an alternate to any position that maybe assigned by Senior Officer of the Bank.
  9. Prepares preliminary audit report summarizing audit findings of Branch/ Department.
  10. Reconciles daily the Due to/from Head Office/Branches account.
  11. Checksbranches’ compliance to the required monthly reconciliation of the Due from Other Banks account.
  12. Performs other duties that maybe assigned by the Internal Audit Head or President/CEO from time to time.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accounting
  • The ability to interpret and analyses financial figures and information
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Time management skills and the ability to work well to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
  • A willingness to treat sensitive data with discretion
  • Good problem solving abilities
  • Ability to coordinate and delegate work to other members
  • Ability to write reports

WORKING CONDITIONS

Renders work in office/bank setting. Position requires field work.
